Apologies if I've got this wrong but I was distracted this afternoon by men in uniform! (see the . (March Walk . thread.)
Linda mentioned that she'd like to come to WL next Sunday morning - 16th March - to walk the rescue dogs and give Suggs and Molly the opportunity to let off steam. I think that Tracie and Katy said the same (told you I was distracted ).
If anyone else would like to come along, I've OKd it with Gill and she's more than happy to welcome both new and familiar faces. The rescues absolutely loved meeting folks and other dogs last time. They all get on beautifully with other hounds and thoroughly enjoy socialising. It does them the world of good and really warms my heart to see how much they get out of such a simple thing (I can so see Aron coming here as a foster; I'm fighting it but don't think I'll be able to resist for much longer).
Re. use of the paddock, it's all very democratic and everyone fits in with everyone else's dogs and their needs - it's certainly not a crazy dangerous free-for-all. If you want to come along but use one of the paddocks exclusively for a while, that's fine. No obligation to walk the rescues either if you'd just like use of the paddocks (although Gill would like a small donation - cash dropped into the RGT tin in reception is fine).
Coffee in the kennel kitchen at 09:45, set off across the fields with dogs at 10, return to WL and paddock fun at 11-11:30h if that's OK. Step in/hop on wherever you like.
A good opportunity to combine the picking up of Burgess Supapoo and piggy lugs at cost with a walk and/or paddock play. The more the merrier - come on down!
