Can you reserve two places for me and Demetre - no dogs unless I can borrow one. Thanks for booking the event Amanda as I didn't know the telephone No. - I thought we would find it difficult at night to book a table. Look forward to good food, human and canine company and plenty of Christmas cheer!!!

Mum asked me to make a quick poster for the event. You can print it off and stick it up in your kitchen/give it to a friend with a greyhound/family member you would like to come along. To print the poster: Right click > Save picture as > Open a Word document > Insert picture > Print

As Amanda has already kindly organised this, how about we go ahead with this meal in December, and if it's successful (which I'm sure it will be) we can do again early next year. ;D Just a suggestion.

Sorry can't make this as there is the meet and greet already booked and someone needs to help Trace Shame it couldn't have been made for later in the day. Can I suggest that next time an event is booked, possibly checking the date and time don't clash with other things first? Again, just a suggestion I realise this was the only date/time left before christmas, but I just think it may have been better to have arranged it for a different day altogether.

I was thinking the same thing, Sarah. Why do they have Christmas in December when restaurants are booked up and people are busy with family gettogethers and company parties....
We did try but it just seemed that there was going to be a clash with something.... Next year hopefully whoever organises it will be able to sort it all earlier in the season and have a choice of dates at the venue.

Well, hopefully if this meal works out okay, perhaps we can get together early / sometime next year when its not so busy and booked up and other things on. I know Max would like to have another meal out when his leg is totally better and he can show off again. Perhaps we could have doggie birthday parties there?

I'm sorry, but when mum VERY KINDLY offered to arrange this to everyone, Tracie was having lots of problems getting a permit and had said that she didn't think it would be going on. Most people thought it wouldn't be going on.
No one else offered to help organise, no one put in any ideas for dates, mum had to work around the restaurant, the walk, the meet, everyone else and I'm sorry, but that was the only date and time that we could have for a large group of people and dogs.
I just want to say, that a lot of people seem to have been quite sharp with mum for having to put it on this date, and it's just not fair to her, she's trying to do a lovely thing for us all, and some people are being just plain nasty just because she HAD to put it on this date.
I think a few people owe her an apology. If you can't be supportive or helpful, don't say anything at all.
Sian.

what on earth is going on in here . i dont think there is any need for this negative attitude to continue. me , linda , suggs and molly cant make it to the christmas dinner and i cant make it to the meet and greet. i wish i could go to both, but i cant. what ever people decide to do on that day with there dogs is up to them. but dogs come first, humans second, so, enjoy the day with your dogs what ever you decide to do.
