I don't mind where we go, although you do realise that if we go to Melton CP it will hammer down with rain - it usually does!! ;D

I don't mind either although not been to Melton cp for years. The wider the paths and more open the space the better then Suggs doesn't feel hemmed in and drag me around to escape LOL What date will it be ,lost track?

Looks like Melton CP it is then, if I'm right, that works out at Nov 11 at 2pm.
I don't think we'll be there, I don't like that walk.

Clair I don't mind where we go,any way I'm sure loads of other peeps will come up with some ideas so it doesn't have to be there. Its so long since we went I can't remember what its like any way. Most people really enjoy Melton, Linda, so I think it's only fair that if that's where most people want to go, then that's where it is. The only reason I don't like it is because there's a lot of off leading opportunities there, which people, quite rightly, want to take advantage of, but my two can't join in and then they (well Tiny really) play up. Besides I've got to fit a trip to Chatsworth in before Christmas so Tiny can pee on their Christmas tree so that's as good a time to go as any. So everyone, have a nice time and take lots of piccies for me to see.

Thanks Clair but we'll have to see where the other want to go any way.If its there it will give me a chance to see what Suggs is like off lead away from the Paddock. After an initial mad run he seems to stick fairly close to me.He gets stressed on the WL walks if the paths are narrow and he has people all around him.He is a different dog off lead and I would feel more confident to let him off for only the second time if WL peeps are around,so if it is there and you do go to Chatsworth the fotos could be veeeeery interesting if I have to run after him ;D ;D Liking Tinys SAS outfit ;D

As soon as I make suggestions, something crops up and we can't make it but........................... How about we show up on Beast Territory and either do Salcey or something closer to BT on the off chance Monty may be up for a short trip by then. If you're out there Beast Master, how long a drive is it from say Leicester as a marker point for us all?? I may have sealed our fate on showing up for the November walk with this post ...........also, I recollect that Claz planned in advance and had a series of venues set up. Shall we continue with a monthly decision (it's worked OK so far) or should we try a list of the next e.g. 6 events?

Anywhere is fine by us - have BeastBus, will travel. Salcey is of course fine by me and it does have paths that are OK even it is or has been wet and it would be great to see everyone at Salcey some time if you all feel venturing down south. But I wonder if might be better in the spring when the evenings are getting lighter to save people driving back in if not the dark, the fading light. From what the vet said it's probable that Monty won't be up to longish walks by then - he said about 6 weeks of on lead just for the loo If he is up to it he'll be able to travel with us. To answer Jasper's dad's question though: Salcey is about 10 minutes off J15 of the M1, and to give a rough idea I give us about an hour to get up to the Leicestershire WL venues. On the list of venues, Claire did ask for ideas though I'm not sure a list with venues and dates was put ever together - guess not as it's being done month by month for now. If it's thought a list of venues would be useful (I think it would) I'd be happy to help put something together.
