Think we're comung along not entering Suggs in anything tho'he's only wagged his tale the once1and although his coat is lovely and shiny he still has a few thinner patches from his treatment after he was first found straying.Think he might be a bit spooked by all the activity, although he did seem to enjoy being around the other dogs on the walk'Will be nice to see the peeps and dogs we met then and put faces to names of the ones we haven't met.Think I will recognize Max and Tiny from the holiday photos they are fab.,and Jess from the hounds relaking onesWe'll be the ones with the dog jumping and spinning at every noise !

LOL....Hmmm could be a fight over Jess with Sol then lol It's seeing Jess in her pink negligée that seems to get Sol hot under the collar so as long as she's nekkid, everything should be fine So glad you've decided to bring Suggs Linda; even if its just for half an hour's wander round the place, I'm sure it'll contribute to the progress he's making in terms of confidence. There's bound to be plenty of discarded fast food scraps for him to pinch so he may hardly notice much else that's going on. ;D Seriously, it's things like that that do make timid dogs feel more positive when you take them somewhere similar again. Food foraging opportunities = a good place to be!

Hi alison your fax finally made it to my desk today, can't really blame the admin staff as we have moved 20 people out of the office in the last 2 days and new people in. The office scanner has ended up at the new head quarters and my home scanner won't work Will keep trying. the dog show looks really good, and the show graced by his grace the Duke of Rutland very posh. Will keep trying to scan

We're taking sausages!!
Can I make a polite request? If people are taking sausages or liver cake and are feeding my lovely two (which they love), would you mind breaking it up into very small pieces for Tiny because he can't swallow very well and bigger pieces of food bounce right back up! - I'll explain why on a separate thread.

I really must read these things when I am sober, now i am you fax can it to 0151703 2003, a friend's business and I will pick it up and scan it, well try to, apart from a complete inability to spell i seem to have wierd dyslexia where I miss words out as well Weird dyslexia indeed Nancy - you've been to one of your friendly neighbourhood parties again, haven't you? Many thanks for taking the trouble to scan and post this for us all, it really is appreciated. I so wish you and your gang were coming. I've found myself feeling very much in need of a Dino fix lately. Will PM you and see if we can't fix something up before my withdrawal symptoms become too overwhelming. Whats the admission charge and dog show entry fees ?? I'm not sure Tracie, I was imagining about a quid or 2 per class or thereabouts. I doubt there'll be an admission fee but if there is, again, it's unlikely to be more than a £1 / £2. I've set myself a budget of a tenner, max (not including food of course!) On that note (food etc), I'm taking a big blanket, a picnic, folding chair, a couple of brollies, bottles of water, treats and bowls for the dogs. If you look out for Sol's eau de nil and white polka dot coolbag, you've found us. If we're not around, please feel free to help yourself (everyone) to anything you want, use our stuff and lounge on our blanket (I've bought a big sheet of polythene to put underneath it so the dogs don't get damp if the grass is wet - but I am NOT soft!). There should be pasta salads and things in the coolbag, veggie and otherwise, so you'll have to rootle round and find what you want. If I remember to pack them, you might even find some cutlery and plates in there too! The dog show looks really good, and the show graced by his grace the Duke of Rutland very posh. The Duke is an "interesting" character to put it mildy. It won't be a case of "if" he offends anyone, rather "how many people"! ;D His public rows are legendary around these parts, a real spectator sport. I hope his mum the Dowager Duchess is coming too, she's ace and the only person I know who wears crimplene with pride. Lady King, (widow of Lord King who was chairman of British Airways), is a big Sol fan and also planning on bringing her two lurchers. By the way Nancy, she absolutely adored Dino too and had you not rehomed him I think she may very well have adopted him herself. I see her a couple of times a month and she always asks about him. It's not quite legible from the scan but something that cracked me up is the irony of the sponsors of a couple of the fun classes - quite deliberate too, I'm certain. The prize for "Dog In Best Condition" is being donated by the local butcher. I'll wager that the prize is meat or bone-related - a fantastic and canny way to advertise his wares. Funniest of all (as far as my warped sense of humour is concerned anyway) is the sponsor of "Prettiest Bitch" class - The Market Tavern in Melton Mowbray. It's a public house of dubious repute, notorious for it's assortment of "pretty bitches" looking for company on a Saturday evening! Can't say more than that here for fear of litigation, but I'm sure you get my drift. Fingers crossed for clement weather, good luck to those intending to enter and also to those bringing their boys and girls along just to socialise and help build some confidence around people and other dogs.

Lilly and i were going to enter as best bitches or best brace ;D You'd have been winners! Maybe you will make it next year. Hope the weather holds out and good luck to everyone going whether you're entering classes or just helping your dogs to learn about being confident in different environments. Photos please! (especially Skye Terror-Fang with his goth makeover and purple tail ;D )

Really good to meet all you lovely peeps and gorgous dogs today.Dying to know how every one got on.Wished we had stayed longer but Suggs was getting a bit restless he was very hot andd thirsty. He had a big drink when we got back to the car, snuggled up to me with his head on my chest and zonked out. Thanks for the advice re- his flaky skin Chris and Tracy.Glad you all think he's looking well.I was very proud of him today I think he coped very well, apart from the car incident. We only have 3 phptos I would love to post them put neither of us have a clue, would be veeeeeery grateful if someone could explain it step by step as if to simpletons! Tracy beware there is one where he is looking longingly at Jess.Trouble is I'm in it with a fag hanging out of my mouth classy.Alison how did it go with the 6 best legs one Dave swears blind you had stockings in your bag. A quick rant before I go not about WL peeps but some of those doggy people were awful they took it so seriously, I heard several 'bitchy' comments, not about us just in general and one extremely chauvanistic remark which was meant to be funny.Never mind prettiest bitch they should have had nastiest, the two legged variety would have won hands down.Apart from that an enjoyable afternoon I will sharpen my tongue for the next show tho, I'm not known for keeping quite when people chat rubbish.

What a fabulous afternoon! Unfortunately it turned out to be one of Sol's random (and in fairness to him, now very rare) "naughty" days but fantastic fun all the same - and the sun shone the whole time! ;D Some photos of the White Lodge deputation at the Ab Kettleby dog show. All of our girls and boys were stars, real winners each in their own ways. Suggsy Malone just goes from strength to strength in terms of confidence. Dave and Linda's dedication to helping him overcome his issues is paying real dividends. Despite lots of noise and potentially scary distractions, he coped with everything brilliantly and looked a million dollars. Bess took the agility course in her inimitable laid-back elegant fashion. Just visible in the background are Ozzy, Millie and Sol looking on Chris looking equally elegant ;D exhorting her to come through the tunnel (she's going to kill me for posting this pic but I know that she has some distinctly unflattering ones of me on her own camera, so she's bound to get her own back!) Yay, success! Some of the posse - left to right, Tracie, Jess, Sol, Dave, Millie, Linda and Suggs Katy & Skye waiting for judging in one of the sporting classes Sol came second in "Best Mongrel/Crossbreed". He wuz robbed, of course! ;D Max and Alistair, Katy and Skye in Ring One, the posh one for pedigrees (sorry, can't remember which class) Tiny with his rosette for "Handsomest Dog" and thoroughly deserved. Doesn't he look gorgeous? Tiny doesn't look at all like a girl and his prize in this class proves it! Skye showing off his ribbons for "Dog In Best Condition". What a credit to Katy! He looked fantastic, really in tip-top condition. Sol made a present to him of one of his more macho necklaces but I forgot to take a photo of Terror-Fang wearing it. Could you take one and post it here Katy? I thought it rather suited him. Sol's naughtiness was only confined to his behaviour with other dogs (and crafty hound that he is, made sure it was out of sight of the judges ). Here he is showing his better, more familiar side in the obedience. I was so proud of him. There weren't any prizes for this (or the agility) but apparently he scored a perfect whatever it is. Sossidge bribes were involved - for Sol that is, not the man doing the marking! Sol's elegant ginger 4 obviously dazzled the judges sufficiently that they were distracted from my bandy cellulite-ridden 2, and we won "The Best 6 Legs" class. Until 2 minutes before entering the ring, I hadn't road tested The Ginga in his new floral legwear and although he was fine about it (no surprises there), it had the effect of making him do a high-stepping prance. The judge was laughing so much, she asked us to lead a parade of honour so hopefully someone else may have some photos of the prancing. My favourite photos of the day just have to be these, Ozzy and Claire doing the fun agility. Crazy Claire will find a way of persuading Ozzy to go through that tunnel....... ....one way or another! ;D ;D

The photos are great Looking at the ones of Tiny it's hard to believe that he has such a serious illness. He looks so healthy. I'd like to see Terror Fang in his new necklace I think Sol deserved to win the best six legs and the photos are very funny. I think he should have won best crossbreed too though

We all had a great afternoon at the dog show, and the weather held out. Highly amusing and fun as you can see by the pics. Thanks Alison, for the rather unflatterting one of my bum in the air trying to get Ozzy through the tunnel! Just knew getting Ozzy through would never happen, he's not that stupid, just me! I'll post my pics later. Don't think there are any unflattering ones of Alison! Shame! Ha ha.
