Count us in please Jo (Sol and Alison). If you need to pre-book food orders we'd like The Fat Gal Special - it's not actually on the menu but just tell The Grange and they'll know exactly what you mean and who we are Well-behaved White Lodge lunching hounds always attract a lot of interest and attention so I'll bring some money rattling tins and "business cards" along and treat it as an informal meet and greet if that's OK with you. I've checked with John and Lou who own the garden centre and they're prefectly happy about it.

Hi All - WL Lunch on Saturday at 2pm The Grange - ALL WELCOME
So far I have the following people down as coming to the lunch: Alison, Amanda, Eileen, Claire,Brenda plus me and Demetre (Where are all the men)? Please let me know if anyone else wants to join us. It will be a great chance to fundraise and as I'll be bringing 2 rescues we can show everyone how lovely they are and try to find homes. Am planning to get to WL for 1pm so I can give them a walk in the fields next to WL so if you want to join me let me know.

I will be bringing Les, my OH and my son Adam, who is keen to come even though we would have only picked him up from Tamworth station at 12pm coming home for Easter from uni. Hope this is okay? Due to time contraints, we won't have time for a walk before the lunch, but are very willing for a walk afterwards!

That sounds really good - the more the merrier! We'll see what the weather is like afterwards and perhaps we could have a little walk. Looking forward to meeting you on Saturday.

Jo, I will meet you at the kennels at 1 pm to walk the dogs, as I need to collect a few bags of dog food at the same time. Sorry, but James cannot make it as he has university work to do. I will be bringing Ozzy and Whistler though. Claire

I'm sorry but I wont be able to make it now as I'm doing a transport run on Sunday and don't think I'll be back in time. I was really looking forward to it as well.

Hi Eileen and darling Chewie, The lunch is on Saturday, Eileen. I hope that means that you can make it. Amanda We won't be able to make Saturday either as I have 2 homechecks arranged. Also the Chewster has a poorly leg at the moment. Not sure what's causing it. The boy seems happy enough in himself and since I've changed his food (to a more expensive variety!!) is eating like a horse so hopefully it's nothing serious. I hope everyone has a lovely time and you all have lots of gorgeous food to eat. Eileen Just a thought, but is the Asfordby anywhere near Rothley?

All thanks to Jo for organising this meal, I really enjoyed it, and think Whistler and Ozzy also enjoyed the free chips being dropped onto the floor for them from the child in the high chair next to us! ;D ;D ;D

Yes, thanks Jo for organising this. We really enjoyed ourselves, go to know Amanda & Alison much better and that meal was quite amazing, never had anything like it before, I don't think I can eat for a week! Sorry for poppy being so vocal, it was annoying and embarassing, not sure why she does this, but Claire's idea worked, we ignored her and she soon got the message!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the meal - sorry I never got to speak to you Brenda but Fleur kept me quite busy. Good thing Ozzie and Whistler were such kind boys to her and helped her settle. I'm sure today will help her to get used to everyday life (although all dogs are not ones that lunch)! quick someone tell her.. All in all a very happy afternoon.

Thanks so much for taking the time to organise this Jo, it was great fun I've just counted the money put in our little tin by members of the public impressed by our lovely hounds and the total amounts to £15.03 I hope that Chewie is OK Eileen. Sol’s been doing a random limping thing just lately – I’m sure it’s nothing but it’s worrying the life out of me and his dad nonetheless. We've decided to monitor the situation over the next 5 days and take him to the vet if we think it warrants a visit. About 20 minutes away by car. Fleur and Poppy settled so quickly and seemed to really enjoy the opportunity to socialise with humans and other hounds. Every credit to Bren and Les for their patience with Pops - she was an asbolute star. Jojo and her hubby definitely bring the best out in Fleur and she's so confident and well-behaved in their company.

Okay....so it took me a while to find the right cable to connect the camera without Siani here..... A lovely lunch.....small but perfectly formed..... and we were so busy chatting that I almost completely forgot I had the camera..... but when Miss Poppy decided to pose with her Daddy, it was a picture not to be missed!!! "Look at MEEEEE....I am so PRETTEEEEEE!!!" Miss Poppy definitely likes to be the centre of attention!!! Can't wait for the next time and let's hope that it's as much fun as today.

I'm glad you all had a great time and am so sorry that we missed it. Chewie seems a bit better today and is not limping so badly so hopefully it isn't anything serious. Hope Sol is improving too. Just had a thought - is there any chance that the boys got together on the last walk and planned this just to scare us
