Hi anyone interested in a WL lunch (or dinner) like we had at Christmas as we said at the time we would have another one especially as many people could not make it. Any suggestions for a date? and venue? the Grange did really good food and was very accommodating to the hounds.

I'm interested, weekend lunch is probably best for me. Can't do weekend of 14th / 15th March, as I'm in Barcelona for a hen weekend then ;D Jo, as it's your suggestion, why don't you put a date forward, and see how much interest you get. I think the Grange is a great venue, as it's dog friendly, we were made to feel really welcome last time, the food was great, and it's close to White Lodge if anyone wants to take a dog out of the kennels for a few hours! ;D Claire

Definite Yes please from us at Quinn Towers and I agree with all that Claire said.
May I suggest that we try and avoid Easter school holidays?

There's some definite interest over here. Will there be a walk before hand to knacker the hounds?

Hi emmo,
We've never done a walk beforehand although the Grange is set in a large garden centre and there's plenty of space to walk your dog(s) around if you like.
As you can see from the thread about the WL Christmas Lunch, (touch wood) the dogs have always behaved beautifully and settled under the tables while we eat and chat. The people at the Grange are always amazingly accommodating and give us a sort of corner area with easy access to the outside if anyone needs to *ahem*.

A fabulous suggestion, Jo. you just need to firm up on date and time. As you are doubtless aware, Sol has a very full social diary but once we know "when and where" I can arrange things to fit around it. We'd love to come

How about Saturday 28th March? We could meet at WL before the lunch if any wants and take the dogs across the fields or as Amanda says there is some space around The Grange where they can stretch their legs etc. Let me know what you think and then I can book it.

We can make it if it's in the evening, but we're in sheffield training in the morning.
I guess that makes it not really lunch...

Saturday, 28th March, at lunch should be fine with me. How about 2 pm at The Grange?
Thanks for coming up with this suggestion Jo. ;D

2pm is fine by me although I'll have to have a snack to keep me going!!!! I imagine though that it will be a bit quieter by this time. I'm going to book this week so we get the same tables as last time and we can just add people if others decide to come.

There's some definite interest over here. Will there be a walk before hand to knacker the hounds? We always let the hounds have a run in the polytunnels after a meal or coffee. I don't think they will be in use yet, so let the madness begin! P.S. I won't be able to come as it is Sarah's 18th birthday on the 26th and we are having a party on the 28th. But mum will be there with Q and X.

Ive booked the Grange Alpine Restaurant Saturday 28th March at 2pm for 10 humans plus dogs! I've warned them we may have more humans and dogs to add in. Just let me know if you want to join us or if plans change. Looking forward already to my lunch.
