alison, a great idea for watermead as long as thats ok for jazz & ellis,
one suggestion for the diary is to move rutland water to a cooler month so it will be a bit quieter (less cycles) and a slight point for people who have to travel to move burrough hill and melton country park so they do not follow each other, but lets have more of the same, you are doing a great job alison, karen

Thats really kind of jazz and ellis's family I agree with karen about rutland water.Im a bit unsure about swithland woods in february, might be wet and muddy,i would say this more of a summer walk because of the shade but aye you never know with the good old british weather.lol

Looks like a lovely walk as always - Dizzy and I were crashed out from our journey back from Wales so we didn't make it....but now we wish we had! Glad to see so many faces of the human and canine variety, old and new -makes me proud to be part of such a great rescue organisation as always Unfortunately the next couple of wals fall on my weekend on at work so i'm going to miss out again - but hope to catch up with you all as soon as we can

Wonderful idea for Watermead and thank you to Jazz & Ellis' family. I am looking forward to it already and will provide some of my world famous sticky-licky-chicky!!
We weren't at the WL Rutland Water walk but we take the boys there sometimes as it's close to us and the level of 'traffic' does ease off in the autumn/winter so moving it would be a good idea. The paths are also pretty good, even in poor weather. A straight swap with Swithland Woods maybe?
Distance is an issue for some people and not for others and there's always work and family and other commitments so don't worry too much about where consecutive locations are. These things always even out over time, I find.
