The November Walk will take place this coming Sunday (9th November) at Melton Country Park. We meet in the car park at 2pm – and there is only one car park so you can’t miss it! Below is a link which includes a map if you scroll down the page: www.wheresbest.co.uk/venue/191389/Melton-Country-Park/I’m sure that the rescue dogs would love to join us so if anyone is interested in “borrowing” a hound for the afternoon please contact Gill on 01664 812361.

The Beasts will be there - though parked outside 'coz they don't let vans in the car park.

Siani and I had just said about this walk to each other this morning... as we tried to persuade the boys that walking in the drizzle won't kill them!!! Let's all hope that it is at least dry on Sunday!!
Look forward to seeing everyone. Our car is already pretty full with the 3 boys but I hope that other people can bring Ted and Sam to the walk.
Amanda, Quinn, Xander, Drifter and Siani

Just looked at the weather for Sunday and only light showers predicted with sunshine in between. Have already rang Gill WL to reserve dog or dogs. No reply but I'll try in the morning, I guess Gill was busy with the Defence dogs. Hope to bring Jilly Golden!!! that's what I called Jill when I walked her last but Ted and/or Sam will be fine. Look forward to meeting everyone again.

Seems like you are a little smitten by Jill, don't blame you.Every week I try to hypnotize her into liking cats or at least tolerating them, and to liking all other dogs all of the time ;D I love this girl like my own and would love to take her home. Failing that I want her to find a lovely home. She so belongs on a sofa( my sofa.) Won't be on the walk and I so wanted Dave to see the dog I never shut up about. ;D ;D

I think its the brindle colouring! I really love Nev as well but as I have 2 cats at home whichever dog finally gets on my sofa carpet needs to be cat friendly. Jilly Golden though is a lovely dog and yes I think I am smitten......

We're not going to be able to make this walk I'm afraid. At work, we have an Ofsted Inspection next week and as I'm in charge of the data for the service, I'm having to make sure everything is up to date etc. I know its not the best way to be spending a Sunday, but if it makes my life easier next week, then its got to be done. Hope you all have a lovely, dry walk - can't wait to se the piccies later on. See you all soon. Sarah and Muppets

Given the amount of water when we got home, Melton Mowbray was obviously the place to be this afternoon. Thanks for the additional loop around the playing fields ?? - I never remember names. I reckon that was just right - especially as Jasper & Lulu could barely manage their food and are now totally zonked. (OK _ Me too ;D ) Great to see you all ;D ;D ;D
