I was about to compliment all the photographers on their lovely pictures taken on the walk today....
but I think the prize goes to Suggsdaddy Dave for that FABULOUS candid shot of Alison "just call me David Bailey...", legs akimbo, framing her next photographic masterpiece!!
Pure genius, Dave, pure genius!!!

Lovely photos, especially Ellis in the Farah slacks pose and Sol choosing his tassel! The best one though and the one my daughter said could win a competition or should be made in to a calender, Christmas card etc. is Hounds on the ramparts - absolutely stunning! We should all have been paid for the privilege of snapping that one!! A great afternoon.

Looks like everyone had a lovely time. We were hoping to come along with Blue, but I'm a bit snowed-under with work so couldn't be dragged away from my desk (our term started this week - pesky students, grr!). Hopefully, things will have quietened down by next month.
I echo Jojo's comment about the ramparts photo - it's brilliant!

OMG Hounds on the Ramparts picture made me go all goosepimply! it is a breathtaking photo, I'm sure anybody who witnessed that must have been impressed. Other photos are lovely too thanks everone! We didnt take too may as Conrad was concerned that people thought we were imposing just snapping them & their Hounds, but we realise now nobody would have minded. Ah well we will bring the camera again next time. Kerry x

Great photos everyone, I particularly like the wide silouette one. Looks like you all had a great time, shame we couldn't make it this time.

We don't have a camera, Kerry and Conrad, so I can assure you that we LOVE seeing pictures of the boys on the site. The one of Quinn on the ramparts and Xander's close up are special for us but it's also wonderful to see all the other dogs and people.
With all these talented photographers in our midst, maybe there's a place for a WL Photographic Group?

Are you a secret contorsionist... that can get ones legs behing ones head?? Mums the word if its true.. as im sure you dont want Dave camping in your garden with his bino's!!!!! None taken Katymay and Amanda because that isn't me. I'm not sure how (or why) but it seems that the lovechild of Iggy Pop and Sid Vicious managed to infiltrate our ranks on Sunday Those legs are indeed very spindly and I'd make a point of eating a lot more pies, wearing more flattering jeans and a belt if they were mine! p.s. Kate - "if" they were my pins then yes, they would go round the back of my head, over the top of my head, do vertical splits and the toes would touch my nose. "If" they were my legs they would form part of mine and Sol's busking act, the one we perform in working men's clubs when he's Paul Daniels and wears a toupee and I'm Debbie McGee........... :)Alison you deserve a commendation for the photos. Suki, Bell and Mick had a fab time thanks to all. Look forward to Melton Country Park. So pleased you enjoyed the walk - great to see you again - and glad you liked the photos Suki is quite the easiest dog in the world to take nice snaps of as she's so beautiful and loves to pose! We didnt take too many as Conrad was concerned that people thought we were imposing just snapping them & their Hounds, but we realise now nobody would have minded. As you can see Kerry, photos (even those of ridiculous bandy human legs ) go down very well so please do take as many as you like and post them. It was so lovely to meet you on the walk and to see how much Ellis and Jazz enjoyed themselves. Abi, Kate, Bren, Crazy Claire and everyone else who couldn't make it to Burrough Hill - you were very much missed. Fingers crossed we'll all be there next month at Melton Country Park to catch up on the gossip. We don't have a camera, Kerry and Conrad, so I can assure you that we LOVE seeing pictures of the boys on the site. I've got 3 old point and click cameras that I don't use any more and you're more than welcome to one on permanent loan if you'd like it. I've only discovered what decent shots they produce since I've had the lens changey SLR thing, revisted them and taken the time to learn how to use them properly rather than just setting everything to auto. Most of the time I take a cheapo Panasonic out and about as it's so light, easy to use and grab and sling round my neck - they regularly come up on eBay for less than £70 and take fab pics in my opinion (see below: I'd have spent so long fiddling around with the "posh" camera that I would have missed this). Sol's mate Jake, resident village ramWith all these talented photographers in our midst, maybe there's a place for a WL Photographic Group? Probably abusing my "moderator" powers but I could s ooo benefit from photographic advice that I'm going to take you up on that suggestion and start a thread - thank you!

That's a very kind offer, Alison, and we would love to borrow a camera for a while and pick your brains too. Seeing all the pics you and Tracie and everyone else takes of their dogs and the events is very inspiring. I would also like to learn more about the software and i think your new thread is a great idea. Hopefully we can coordinate a meeting and initial lesson soon!!!!
Oh.....and Jake.....MAGNIFICENT!!! Keeps making me think.... "mint sauce....mint sauce...."
