Didnt make the walk obviously,it was pourring here at 12 so decided not to because of Henry's rain phobia. Also he will have been on lots of walks between now and the next WL walk so he should be more at ease with lots of people and dogs!

We hate missing walks - particularly those at our doorstep. Not being able to do it in person today , please settle for an 'E' - 'Happy New Year' ;D Lord Jasper of Leicestershire (and environs)

Claire810 what happened to Alistair's knee hope he's ok now Can't believe the bad luck you have. He was being an indiot of course!! He went to the shed wearing slippers then ran back and slipped on the path and fell on the edge of the patio - the result - a four inch gash and 11 stitches - plus me nearly having heart failure!! Although we were only in A&E for an hour and a half which was good so hopefully we won't die of beri beri or whatever you get in hospitals. Glad everyone enjoyed the walk. We'd be up for Elvaston but not for a couple of weeks as Alistair can't drive at the mo and I'm not allowed to drive cos of my epilepsy.

Best of luck Flossie! Working trials are the top level of all the disciplines combined so every credit to Sol's friend for even having the ability to compete. I hated missing the WL walk but glad you all had a good one, even if it was a bit blustery! Dog Rescue Lover, next Burrough Hill Walk I really want a pic of us making hang gliders out of our coats at the summit like we did last year ;D I've not not done that since me and my sister were kids and enjoyed it so much. ;D I also missed getting pics of Dave for my special private perv collection I can't wait to meet Molly and Whistler so if anyone is up for an extra walk anywhere, please let me know. No question about it though,, I've just GOT to go skiing/snowboarding again at least twice before March (or I'll die : but will schedule the alpine fun around arranged dog walks. I'm not really up on this working trials lark and to be honest, as a spectator sport, it was a bit dull but I thought I ought to lend my neighbour a bit of support - she was very helpful to me with Sol's clicker training and has become such a lovely friend. Flossie and Anne won by 9 points but I'm not sure whether that's a close call or a huge margin. I didn't like to ask in case it made me appear thick. They are (apparently) the only "amateur" champions; the rest are professional military or police who are paid to train full time with this goal in mind, so every credit to Anne & Flossie. Despite the fact that they're not professionals and only do it for fun, they win anyway : Anne knows Sol really well and thinks that he would be very good at it, though by no means championship material (he's nowhere near fast enough for the agility bits). One of the disciplines involves leaving your dog "down" on a square for 90 minutes whilst the handler walks away out of sight, during which time he/she isn't supposed to move a muscle. Sol would do that, I know he would, but I'd be pining for him after 90 seconds! No, working trials are not for me and Ginge; I want to do things with him that we both really enjoy

The boys would think I had abandoned them - I can't get away from Tiny for 3 seconds at the moment - and my trousers are very soggy where he has been sucking them!

9o mins that must be about 10 trips into the kitchen to collect the contraband Suggs has collected and put on his bed. He's getting sneaky now and leaving it on Molly's bed if she's not occupying it. Yea I could manage 90 minutes ;D ;D
