Thought I should post about this walk, as its the first time we have been to Burbage Common for a White Lodge walk.
This is happening on Sunday April 12th, meet at 2.00pm in the car park nearest to Leicester Road, Hinckley (B4668) - unless anyone wants to suggest one of the other car parks? I suppose it really depends on weather. If the ground is still fairly good, the car park I have suggested will be fine.
I'm quite happy to check this out on Saturday and confirm the car park? ;D
For those of you who haven't been to Burbage Common before, its a fab place to walk your dogs with lots of open space, good parking facility, poo bins and a nice woodland walk too. I've never actually timed th route, so I couldn't tell you if its a 1 hour or 2 hour walk!
What I would say is its nice and flat (your knees will be OK then Dave! ) and the parking is free.
If anyone wants a link to the map of where the car park is, please click here: www.multimap.com/maps/?countryCode=GB&zoom=16&lat=52.551935090377924&lon=-1.345119810535148&loc=GB:52.551935090377924:-1.345119810535148:16&title=Burbage Common and Woods
Come down the B4668 and turn onto Burbage Common Road (its a little one track lane off a layby, next to E Taylor Skip Hire), the car park is then accessed on your right and there are 'bays' then on your left segregated by bushes - be careful as there are some pretty big pot holes down here!). I would suggest you head to the very end of the car park and park here.

See you all at 2.00pm
