Great turn-out on a strange weather day - Look how bright it was when we started.... The slow-pokes were soon a tad detached at the rear of the pack but still smiling.... Did we care about the gathering 'storm'.... ...of course not. It's a WL walk and we've been out in some real 'Melton Country Park' weather before this...... and we had Longdogs as far as the eye could see It got quite dark just B$ Newtown Linford... ....and we all turned our backs to the wind & hail and headed back to the car park .....leaving the old ruin behind (I tried to catch up but everyone was walking faster than me ;D ;D Back at the car park, eager hounds awaited liver cake Some were virtuous and patient.. ...and got their just rewards... ....and finally a gratuitous piccy of the baby of the clan..well she is rather photogenic and a real sweetheart.. On a 'nicer' day we may have wandered onto the dirt tracks and bumped into the magnificent stag we saw on the way back....Perhaps next time at Bradgate. We had a ball and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

We really enjoyed the walk as usual, great turn out, but the weather was bizarre. Thanks for the pics, they are great. Doesn't Miss Poppy look like butter wouldn't melt ;D She did her gazelle impersonation on the first part of the walk, but as soon as we turned round she walked perfectly! Lovely to see everyone and thanks to the couple who walked Caleb.

What a great turn out,the pictures are fantastic.Jazz looks lovely in her bandana and Poppy is soooo gorgeous. Sorry we missed it but all being well Tia will be out of plaster tomorrow and manage not to damage herself again before the next walk. Chewie I think that Sol guy is telling Porkies, he can't be trusted he has 3 different names you know,Sol, Ginga and Africa, If that's not dodgy I don't know what is. He's a lovely lad but definitely a bit street wise with an eye for the main chance. He tried to get Suggs to have his toe nails painted orange with green stripes you know and he asked Tia to get him 10 fags and a red stripe from the off license next time she goes. ;D ;D

Duhhhh!!!! Talk about being a few slates short of a full roof..... I was so wrapped up in sorting my piccies I didn'r even notice yours at the end of page 1 Alison. Poppy under Rudy is a classic! I also realise that the 'old ruin' should try to bend down and take pics at dog level as the result is much more impressive. I did try a bit of editing and even brightened up the 'dark' picture - made it look better but lost the 'impending storm' look. Always another walk to experiment with. As an aside, we bought Lulu a Nylabone at great expense, but less expensive than new TV remotes !! So far it has gone down really well and Lulu will share it Jasper quite hapily......so far ... perhaps e'd better get another

Don't worry you're not the only one, I didn't notice Alison's photos either, until Les mentioned the one with Poppy under Rudy! Alison, that photo is brilliant! ;D Thanks, would it be okay if I posted it on the SWT forum?

We really enjoyed the walk as well, apart from the grim weather! Ozzy and Whistler didn't move a muscle after tea on Sunday until the following morning. ;D

Lovely pics as always Allison Hector & Throp remind me of seals with their ears pinned back lol. Mark commented on how grey faced they are looking now, i keep telling the boys it makes them look distinguished not old poor boys not even 4 yet. We really enjoyed the walk despite the weather , sorry we didn't get chance to chat more as we stopped off at the cafe for a rather nice hot choccy in the brief sunshine between hail showers and i think everyone else headed back to the carpark. Going to check out where Burbage Common is, although April is my families birthday month so will have to check diary.
