The February Walk will be taking place at Swithland Woods on Sunday Feb 8th. We'll be meeting at 2pm in the SOUTH car park - click here for directions. The notices say that dogs should be kept on lead and that poo should be picked and deposited in the bins provided. The charge for car parking is £1.00. Hopefully everyone will be able to make it and looking at the weather forecast my footwear suggestion would be those shoes that look like tennis racquets! ;D

Will anyone be going by WL on Sunday who could possibley collect a WL hound for me to walk? I only live 5 mins from Swithland Woods so it would save the journey for me especially if the roads are bad. Thanks

Jojo, if no one can bring you Bluey or another dog, I would appreciate you taking Drifter. I have this funny feeling I'm going to end up on my bum if I have him and Quinn. XD

I would just like to remind everyone that according to the signs I saw on my recce of Swithland Woods, BBQs are not permitted in case anyone was considering it. February, snow - as if! The South car park borders on postcodes LE7 and LE12. I’ve just looked the weather forecast for both and it seems that we’re in for a cloudy day with sunny intervals, max temp 2 degrees. Wrap up warm folks! At least if the ground is frozen there won't be too much mud. Looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up on your news.

Here are my usual random selection of point & press: Heading out Can you believe they brought me out in this today??? Matching coat & collar & looking good North car park....we started in the south !!!! Walking accross our back garden....oops no, it's the horse trail !! More of our back garden Beauty & the.....beauty I suppose Lord Jasper of Leicestershire still looking regal .....and I'd better put Lulu in too - or else Hope we all got home safely after skating out of the car park CU all soon Jasper & Lulu

Me, Amanda, Xander and Chewie managed to lose sight of everyone else about 5 mins into the walk. Occassionly saw you all in the distance and finally caught up with you near the end. We tried to follow the doggy footprints but the boys were absolutely useless at tracking so we're considering trading them in for a couple of bloodhounds!!!
