I have found a fab new venue for White Lodge walks, which would be good in either wet or dry weather. Its called Bagworth Heath Woods and isn't too far from Thornton Reservoir. There is a good gravel path which runs all the way through, plus lots of wooded areas, little tracks and open fields for off lead running when the weather is better. There are poo bins around the path at good places, but no other facilities like a cafe or toilets. There is parking and the car park is a very decent size, plus its free. There is a height restriction, but there is parking available on the road (and its a quiet road). A link to the site is here: www.leics.gov.uk/index/environment/countryside/countryparks/country_parks_other_country_parks_picnic_areas/country_parks_bagworth_heath_woods.htmWhen I next go, I'll take my camera and get some photos. ;D
