I won't be there this afternoon, as the inlaws are coming over for a late lunch. Hope you all have a great walk, it certainly loks like the weather for it. I should see you all on the walk next month.

A beautiful day and a great turnout! Some of the rescue dogs still waiting for homes came along and they behaved beautifully. It was lovely to see them enjoying themselves so thanks to Katy, Jen and Gill for transporting and walking Ted, Dusty and Nev. Yeti shared his Beasts out in the customary even-handed fashion that is his trademark ;D ......... Charlie with JackBren with Lucy and Helen with KaiKai and TroyKaty and Sol's synchronised tongue poking made me smile Sarah and her gang enjoying the shadeTiny and MaxGill and Jen with Nev, Dizzy and DustyClaire J very kindly brought along some coats for the rescues and also some samples of treats from her new venture, the OPK Barkery. All the hounds voted them a big hit, although Caleb and Sol insisted on tasting at least half a dozen of each flavour "just to be sure" We had what I think was the first White Lodge picnic afterwards. Sossidges and big laughs all round - and I don't think any of the dogs actually pinched anything!Skye - so handsome! A natural born poser. We wrote our suggested names for the White Lodge Babies on slips of paper. They were picked out of a hat and the winners are......... Merlin - chosen by Tracie for Beauty Eddie - chosen by Sarah for Black Smudge - chosen by Mortimer, Annie and Ruby for Blue Bailey. Whoever chose this name left before the grand draw, so could you identify yourself please? Thanks to everyone who came along and contributed to the fun. The next White Lodge walk is scheduled to take place at Ratby Burroughs so hopefully the weather will be as lovely as it was today. See you there! p.s. Charlie (Mavis's elder pup) asked me if I post the best photos up in this thread and the answer is no, they're just a random selection. I always have lots of other pics of hounds and their folks so if anyone wants them, just PM or e-mail me and I'll send them to you.

Looks like you had a fabulous time, what amazing weather. We didn't make it, Jack was finding the heat too much and not drinking enough so we were on dodgy kidney watch.. how do you make a dog with bad kidneys drink more!!! Never mind though we had our picnic under a tree in a friends garden instead. We did toast you all though ;D

Alison and Tracy brilliant photos again, a lovely afternoon and the picnic was good fun. The dogs were very well behaved, Molly hasn't quite got the hang of picnics yet and managed to trample our cakes and eat one ;D Suggs was very chilled and enjoyed the sossiges.

What a fabulous afternoon. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Perfect venue and weather and the picnic idea was great. I couldn't believe all the dogs we so well behaved at the picnic, I was convinced Caleb would want to sample the picnic fare, although I think maybe he was full up on Claires lovely biscuits! Both dogs are totally shattered and we haven't heard a peep out of them all evening! Great photos as usual, although my tactics of avoiding the camera aren't working ;D

Glad everyone enjoyed my biscuits - let me know if you want any. Max and Tiny are still exhausted, they didn't move all night.
