Everyone welcome, as always! The best place to find out how to get there etc. is via The Beast Blog here and scrolling down to Events. Just out of interest, is anyone going who actually knows the route of the walk? I've been there but wandered all over the private bits and ended up with no clothes on so I can't really be relied upon I'm afraid.

Only you Alison ;D ;D I have only been twice in the last umpteen years. We went into the main entrance and turned left over the wooden bridge and sort of followed the path round and through a small wooded area. how will i recognise you? with your new plastic surgery which was required if they were ever to let you in again, i may need some clue as to who you are? Oh, just thought, Sol will still be as ginga as ever! M

Well I can't recall who suggested Coombe Abbey as White Lodge Walk venue but thank you - it's a brilliant place! ;D As usual, it was eventful. No nuns, firemen or men in odd shoes this time, just the requisitioning of a mobility scooter and an ice-cream man being mobbed by hounds. Claz Claire travelling in style with Skye Matthew with his lovely dog Ginger from the Coventry RGT and another random ginga Crazy Claire, James and Marge with Whistler and Cherry. Cherry is just recovering from surgery to remove a lump from her back leg which is healing beautifully. We know this because she ditched the dressing half way round in the woods! Some of the gang pausing for a chat Claire's scooter was requisitioned for a mercy dash to help this little girl who had hurt her foot. White Lodgers to the rescue! (The shot in a million that I missed was Cherry & Spike's Dad Keith hurtling back on it - a classic moment but unfortunately not one that was captured on film unless anyone else managed to catch it). Yay, the treats are on Daddy Beastly! Apologies to Chris (Yeti) if I've got this wrong, but I think that Mr Whippy gave up collecting cash in the end and simply dished up freebies. If I am wrong please let me know as SoI owes you for at least 3 cones! Did any humans get an ice cream (or even a sniff of one) by the way? Thanks everyone for a really enjoyable afternoon. It ended with three bits of fantastic news: Aron has gone home to loaf on his forever sofa chez Christine, Amanda and Siani have signed Quinn's official adoption papers and Dick has been reserved pending a successful homecheck! Perfect. Thank you again to all who've helped make my day

Excellent piccies Alison. Mr Ice cream man was indeed a very genorous soul and dished out 4 freebie ice creams for the hounds. I think Morty helped himself to at least one, as did Ruby. Annie thought it was too cold for ice cream so declined (much to Rubys delight!). I hope Marge posts the photo of Cherry at the end looking very 'woe' is me' after we all got drenched in the rain (excvept those sensible peeps who had rain coats on their dogs and waterproof coats for themselves ;D Excellent venue, well worth the trip. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sorry Marge, can't stop as I'm just about to ring the RSPCA re. poor Cherry Did you perchance get any pics of Keith riding the chariot? ;DNooo, Cherry has forgiven me in exchange for chicken fed by my own hand! I must admit I didn't even know there was a rescue going on, so missed Keith coming back riding like the wind! I was sidetracked by Spike's toe which was bleeding due to losing a nail. he's ok now and is wearing his superman boot. I had to hand feed him chicken too

Looking at the ice cream part of it, I think I need to readjust my "three cones for Sol" estimate upwards by quite some way! How embarrassing

Lovely pictures again Alison, a brilliant day as usual, Highlights for me , a certain someone telling me 'my dogs not allowed icecream' only for said dog to wolf down a huge dollop of ice cream, having Jen and Diz back on the walks, Claires' scooter, the fact that Rosie and Jim stayed in the car ;D and when squillions of peeps and dogs were sheltering from the downpour, me looking axiously to see if Moll was being nice to the other dogs as we were all squashed together only to see her squashed up next to I think it was Diz with Troy and Mack resting their heads on Mollys back' and her very happy about it as they were keeping her warm ;D ;D I wished I'd taken a photo.
