I was pleased as punch that you all turned up and thoroughly enjoyed it! I have piccies of Sol going through the tyre Alison, which I'll post later. Claire, I'll PM you your picture of Ozzy going through the tyre to ask permission first, as you're in the picture Will post some piccies later on, but a brill day - many thanks to all who kept Morty entertained and looked after him. He slept really well (despite not doing anything!). Tiring work watching others do agility you know!

Had a chance to upload them now, so here they are: Sol's first time through a tyre and he did it like he was born to do agility! Chopped Alisons head off this one, as I wasn't expecting her to do the jump with Sol! (sorry Alison ) Ozzie showing Claire3 that he really can jump when he puts his mind to it! One of Benz, the Great Dane, jumping (he is Jills dog, the owner of the club) Mortimer getting friendly with Millie Bess and her 'couldn't care less' face ;D ;D

What brilliant photos Sarah, thanks so much for those. Don't Morty and Millie look loved-up? As for chopping my head off because you weren't expecting me to go over the jump, as it happens, neither was I - just got carried away because Sol was enjoying himself so much I guess Maybe a skirt isn't the best choice of clothing for this sort of thing though I'm definitely going to suss out my local club and take him to learn more so thanks for such a positive intro to the world of agility!

Morty and Millie really hit it off. He thought she was fab (maybe he thought it was Ruby and for once she wasn't grumbling at him for cuddling next to her!)
Glad to hear you're going to venture into the agility world. It really is fun. If you want a hand finding a club, let me know. ;D

I think we'll come along next time - I was worried it was going to be all off lead - which we can't really do. Having said that - the boys were fast asleep yesterday afternoon and weren't waking up for anyone!

Was this a Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct moment by any chance? Sorry, I just know from other threads that you've not quite got used to wearing your new purchases yet ;D Seriously Sol does look like he's a natural and really enjoying agility smiling as ever ;D

We're going to have one more fun day before we stop the giant breed for the winter. I'll post a new thread with the day/date when I know what it is. It would be great if we could get a good turn out of Greys/Lurchers there (at the last one, Jill who owns the club, donated the fee from our lot taking part to Greyhound Rescue, because she knows how much it means to me and she is a really wonderful person). Keep your eyes peeled ;D

Love everyone's photos. In particular, Sarah, yours of Sol, and the Gt Dane, going through the tyre, and of Mortimer and Millie doing their dying swan impression Here's some of mine Ozzie's no pirate - but Claire insisted he walk the plank Jess having a drink Mortimer shows how it should be done We met 3 lovely rescue greys, owned by someone who worked at the kennels which hosted the event, she is invovled with a number of g'hound RGT rescue places in the Midlands; her 3 are all stunning. Pics not great as it was thro' a wire fence; Millie, as ever, was especially delighted to meet more greys. Sol demonstrating the seesaw All these dogs are so good together (sorry, only got in Sol's bum, and the others had left or were honing their agility skills!) chillin' Alison performs her tunnel dance, while Sol accepts a treat from Sarah, for being a good tunnel boy This was a giant breed agility course, and most (all but one I think) of the giant breed dogs were Great Danes. Here is Sarah with her rescue Great Dane (apparently there is a large - in more ways than one - Great Dane problem as many are purchased as fashion/lifestyle statements and subsequently discarded): On the A frame tyre Ozzie walks the plank on his own Ozzie exiting a tunnel These are the 'before' and 'after' of the brilliant photo Sarah took of Sol jumping through the tyre Finale .. Sol says 'you took that course real well, mum, I'm proud of you' A fun afternoon out; both mine slept extra well that evening ;D
