Katy check if she's wearing clothes before you agree to meet her,35 mins.with a naked Alison and bejewlled toe painted Ginga dog might be 35mins too long.Hope to be there as long as its a bit cooler poor Suggs isn't coping with the heat too well.

We won't be there. Max is very tired from all the heat and Tiny is making no effort to swallow at all which apart from being very messy with dribble means we can't put his lead on. He's had some medicine and is sleeping now so hopefully when he wakes up he'll remember what swallowing is all about.

Hope Tiny is ok now.Had a good walk altho' it did seem a shorter distance than Beacon Hill.Dave says he wasn't being unsociable when we returned he'd split his trousers and couldn't get out of the van! Tracy ,,Suggs loves the Liver Cake thanks, will try and make some for the next walk altho' I'm a rubbish cook. Lovely to see you all and meet more new peeps and their gorgeous dogs,Sorry we forged ahead but Suggs is like a steam train altho' he did settle after a while,he didn't even panic at the joggers or cyclists when he was with the other Hounds. He does seem to like to walk with the more sedate dogs at the moment, and it does wonders for his confidence. He seemed to find Jasper,Skye and Sholly non threatening.I have to say all the dogs are lovely and so handsome.Hope to meet you all again at the next walk with something resembling Liver Cake.Suggs is crashed out now dreaming of his doggy friends.

Best wishes to Tiny too. Suggs looked really good today so as 'they' say - "keep doin what you're doin!". For some reason the glutinous Jasper wasn't too hungry this evening. If he knew he was heading for WL tomorrow then he'd be much more excited! We'll miss him for a couple of weeks but he deserves his runs in the paddock.
It was just about the right distance today in the relative heat and the L-dogs were all well behaved. We could have 'taken out' the cyclists and joggers but it might not have done the L-dog reputation much good.
Can someone reming me what the breed of swimming dog was we saw in the water half way round? Ive got a seive like memory!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave says he wasn't being unsociable when we returned he'd split his trousers and couldn't get out of the van! And what sort of an excuse is that!? I laughed fit to bust reading that Linda ;D ;D ;D If he knew he was heading for WL tomorrow then he'd be much more excited! We'll miss him for a couple of weeks but he deserves his runs in the paddock. Can someone reming me what the breed of swimming dog was we saw in the water half way round? Ive got a seive like memory!!!!!!!!!!! The swimming dogs were Newfoundlands, also known as "lifeguard dogs". Link below if you're interested. www.k9web.com/dog-faqs/breeds/newfies.html#lifYou can rest assured that Jasper will get lots of extra games and cuddles from me on weekend mornings at White Lodge during his sojourn there Thanks for a great afternoon everyone, and sorry that Tiny was too poorly for you to make it Claire & Alistair . I think we're back to the summer weather we've become accustomed to next week, which will doubtless make him more comfortable. Quite a few photos, so I hope I managed to include everyone. Sorry that the ones of the off-lead chasing games are so blurry; either I'm going to have to get a better camera or you'll have to get slower dogs! Linda with Suggs who got really into the swing of things with his fellow pointies once he was convinced they were friendly. Dave had come all the way from Newmarket so that they could be there. That's what I call commitment! It really shows too, Suggs is not recognisable as that scaredy hound who first arrived at White Lodge. Millie (Diplomat) and Jasper (Adventurer) looking rather like bookends All eyes on Tracie - I wonder why? Left of the photo is Bess and third from left, Oscar - aren't they alike? Ellie with Lily and pals Skye Terror Fang going for the Apache look in his beads and feathers (there's another one on his own thread) Bess, Chris, Millie, Phil, Lola and Buddy Sholly & Quinn Keith, Cherry, Margaret & Spike. To coincide with the release of The Simpsons movie the other week, Margaret was surprised to receive a telephone call from the Coventry Evening Telegraph. They'd looked through the phone book to find Coventry's very own Marge Simpson and as Cherry resembles Bart's dog, Santa's Little Helper, she was included in the interview and newspaper article too! Fame doesn't seem to have gone to their heads though Sol and Oscar. Can't remember whether this was when they were taking a break from racing around or before the wildness began It was love at first sight when Ozzy laid eyes on Cherry Here's where things start to get out of focus (like the rest aren't!) Sol chased his ball, Jess chased Sol (much to his delight), Ozzy tried to get Cherry to chase him and failed so had to settle for chasing her instead, and Sol didn't stand a chance of getting to the ball before speedy Oscar! A complete mad house, and the most brilliant fun for the participants - one I can name who didn't want it to end; we'd still be there now if it had been up to him! Someone had left a bag of dog biscuits on the picnic table and as Sol and I were the last ones there, I brought it home with me. Let me know if they're yours and I'll give them back to you on the next walk if I don't see you before that.

Almost forgot this one, it made me a bit as Spike and Cherry love older people and made a beeline for them on the way back. Couldn't get them away for ages!

Great photos from everyone, lovely walk - first time I've been round the 'lake', as lots of the paths were flooded the only other time we went. Bess says she missed her aunty sarah, hopes to see her next time. Brill photos of Oscar running - Bess would have LOVED to have had a run with him, such a shame I have to be so careful where she's let off lead. Millie's wrists aren't up to the manic running around the others were up to, but she'd still have loved to have joined in! If I can find my camera software and it works with Vista, I'll finally get around to downloading about 3 weeks worth of photos. But doubt I have any very good ones from yesterday as ran out of card space.

Thanks to everyone who turned out; looks like there were lots of you and you had great fun. We had a busy weekend here with family committments and boarding madness, so couldn't get away, sorry. I'm hoping normal service will be resumed when things have settled down a bit.

Here's my photos, better late than never! Suggs and Linda (closest to camera) Sol, Sholly (& owners), Katy & Skye, Tracy & Jess. Katy looks disgusted, Skye has got the 'what me?' look. Everyone else is laughing, what's going on? One for a caption competition I think! Feeding time! How cute is Sol! How attentive are these dogs when it comes to food
