We won't be there because my two monsters will be holidaying at Da Loj from Sunday teatime, so I don't want to take them on a nice walk and then drop them off at Claire's. I think it would be too confusing for them. I've just noticed this, Claire. We only open 10 - 11.30am on Sundays. However, if you did the walk, I could bring them back to Wite Loj with me afterwards? Personally I think it would be a fab way to start their holiday; long walk and too knackered to care they are in prison ;D

We met Derby & Joan today and they were delightful. Did my folks feed you cake when you met them? They do that to complete strangers they think are "looking a bit thin" and it's so embarrassing They believe that anyone under 20 stones is anorexic, despite the fact that they are themselves the beanpoliest beanpoles you ever saw in your life Goodness knows how, they trough constantly. No, I must think kind thoughts today, it's Mothering Sunday tomorrow after all but you should've seen my mum's idea of a light tea when I went round today to mark the occasion - imagine a feast of biblical proportions and you've got the picture, tables heaving. Can't say I was disappointed though! (and neither were Sol or Dino - I can report that they're BIG beef Wellington fans )

No cakes on offer I'm afraid but I would bet there was a Thermos in the boot of the car! Of course we all look forward to the Thermos on a WL walk day so perhaps one shouldn't generalise too much!!!!!!!!

I've never been to Beacon Hill so I'm very excited. I also think the birthday girl's suggestion about Outwoods is a good one. Especially if the Dog Wagin and the Beastley Bus both turn up. If I could squeeze three greyhounds into the Smart car it wouldn't be a problem.
(I got one in once, but she couldn't turn round)

No time to post any witty captions (Sol's Dad needs the computer to slay marauding dragons bent on destroying civilisation apparently) but here are a few happy snaps from a lovely Sunday anyway.
Thanks to everyone for a fantastic afternoon and particularly for tolerating Sol's appalling behaviour towards Nemo in the car park; I can only put it down to him having a chip on his shoulder and wanting to be the only chav in the village. We will be having words when he wakes up - tomorrow lunchtime judging by the looks of him snoozing in his basket at the moment!Slice of cat pie anyone? ;D Phil getting his ritual monthly mugging. Sarah and family Gill with The Gingas Nick, Tom, Gill, Alice and LarryClaire and the TinesterThe incomparable Lil’ Bing, a member of Dino’s new family taking a well deserved break from serving refreshments. Great service Bingmeister, many thanks. Caught in the act! I got there in the just in the nick of time to thwart this furtive character’s attempt to dognap Lucy Anyone fancy captioning this one? One very proud new owner with his human No need to Photoshop anyone’s hair this time ;D ;D ;D Brenda, Les, Caleb and Rudy – the first White Lodge walk together as official “forevers”. Laid back and taking everything in his stride as usual, Dino on the way to start a great new life with Robert, Nancy, Budgie and Bing

lovely pictures Alison, Budgie says that Dino's caption should say 'Dino on the road to eternal happiness'. Roberto says the last picture looks as if he has eaten his human and just left the shoes

All the Beasts are so knackered that no-one has done BeastBlog for the day yet, but what a day!!! Great turn out, great weather, Pet Blood Bank UK getting lots of sign ups, and of course Dino going to his forever home (best thing was, Nancy and Roberto had got all the dogs in the car and were ready to go - when they suddenly realised that they hadn't got the kids!!! Glad they've got their priorities right ;D) Thanks to Jasper's mum and dad for looking after Troy. A few pictures from the day - there will be more on BeastBlog later. The life saving blood donors Dino and new mum Nancy at the top of Beacon Hill How many hounds can got on a hill - over 40 we think The handsome Sol And to finish off the day, we came home with our newest foster - the stunning Dick So, May's walk is where?

I have to say it is a pleasure to look after Troy. Magnetic personality is an expression that springs to mind, and as you are well aware by now, we always look forward to being leant on by Troy Boy at a WL walk! For some reason, Jasper declined his evening walk and settled for a trip to back garden
;D ;D

Thanks for a great Easter Sunday. Bess & Millie were also shattered tired and totally pigged out (on liver cake and other endless treats ). Alison & Chris's photos are brilliant. 1 or 2 of my favourite (but not so good) pics from yesterday One man and his dog ... which way did the sheep go? Brenda IS Wonderwoman Harry, Woody & their humans take a rest Max & Tiny Mortimer and friends Tippy with his Mum and Dad Alison being a treat tease! Woody puppy (what puppy?) and Harry How useful is your new greyhound? Finally, this is my favourite: Bess makes a fuss of Brenda - this is soooo unusual (as those of you who know her will appreciate), especially for her to fuss a female; not forgetting Millie too.

OMG, Chris what was I doing in the ''wonderwoman' pic!! I think I shall have to have strong words with you for posting that!!! As much as I hate having my photo taken I must say that is a lovely picture with Bess, she is such a sweetie and I do feel honoured.
