Morning all happy White Lodgers from your friendly sewing elf.!!
Okay....this MIGHT seem like an odd one....BUT.....
is anyone out there of the fishing persuasion? Or a fishing widow, maybe?
If so, do you have some small, dense fishing weights I can have for an RGT item? I've had a little look and just the plain round ones with a central hole would be perfect!
Or... do you know of a supplies shop where I can get some quite cheaply? I would need at least 12 and preferably 16.
If you can help, please PM me or we will be at the Meet & Greet today at Rothley.
Thanks a lot!!
Amanda

Do you need it for weighting? Or reinforcing?
Perhaps using several washers would do the job?

That's a good idea emmo.....great thinking!!! It's for weighting the edges of the tablecloth when we have the table laid out at events. The wind can be a little tricky!!!
Alison is going to try and get me some fishing weights as she goes near a fishing supplies place but if not, I will certainly look at washers.
Carry on making clever suggestions like that and you'll get a reputation, young lady!!!

I visited the tackle shop yesterday Amanda and learnt many things ("things a woman ain't s'posed to see" in my opinion too - fishing emporia are utterly mad places and to be avoided like the plague if this one was anything to go by). First and foremost, don't even think about dating an angler unless you're quite happy to have live maggots residing in your fridge Customers and staff were utterly bemused at the fact that someone might find this prospect disagreeable. The only weights available that would suit your purpose were something called "dumpy pear sinkers" and cost upwards of 89p each depending on weight/size; the doughnut disc-shaped ones in that particular shop were all far too heavy. Something to do with carp I think - I'd lost the will to live by that point and can't quite remember. I'd go with Emmo's ingeniously economical suggestion of washers or look online for fishing sinkers of the right shape and size. Tablecloth clips might be another idea:
