It's GBGW time again!! ;D This year it is Sunday June 22, 11am, at Bradgate Park. Hallgates (Cropston) (off Roecliffe Road). Nearest car park to Deer Barn Tea Room & Visitor Centre. ( Use Post Code LE7 7HQ for SatNav) Please remember it is an ON LEAD only event, this is a requirement of GBGW and must be adhered to.All dogs and well behaved owners welcome, it is a Greyhound plus walk so it means all breeds can come with their sighthound buddies. The walk is flat and tarmaced so it's good for buggies and wheelchairs and can be cut short. There is a lovely cafe and toilets too. Hope to see you all there

A quick heads up for all those at the Leicestershire Great Greyhound Walk. As it is already getting rather warm, we are not going to go all the way across Bradgate Park. We'll probably stop by the stream (just beyond the ruins of Lady Jane Grey's mansion) where there is shelter and paddling opportunities.

The totals for all the walks were 3360 sight hounds, 215 non sight hounds across 88 walks and 16 mini walks and 25 global walks. We had 35 dogs at our walk – 26 greyhounds, 2 lurchers, 1 saluki, 2 whippets, 2 galgos (Spanish greyhounds), and 2 “other” (they weren’t sight hounds but lived in the same family group).

Just done a follow up interview with the Mercury about the walk and it should be in the paper tomorrow or Weds, I'll try and find the link and post it here when it comes out.
