Hi Folks I've been asked to organise an extra walk, one separate from the monthly schedule for anyone who fancies blowing the old year cobwebs away, seeing the new one in with friends and hounds and burning off some Christmas calories The date for the walk will be Wednesday 1st January 2014. We’ll meet in the lower car park at Beacon Hill at 12.45 and set off at 1pm – please note that this is earlier than the customary time. Click on the links below for further details and directions: www.leics.gov.uk/index/environment/countryside/countryparks/beacon.htmen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beacon_Hill,_Leicestershire The full address for those with SatNav is: Breakback Lane Woodhouse Eaves Loughborough Leics LE12 8TA I sincerely wish you and yours a happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous New Year Alison xx

Dave's going to drop me and two of mine off for this walk. His knee is too painful for him to walk it. Unfortunately I wont bring Barty as he's too strong on lead for me if he gets excited. I'll probably bring Dilly and Tia , Suggs is too lazy and Flynn is too full of himself at the moment. Looking forward to it haven't been on one for ages.

We decided not to brave it either. Les took Caleb and Poppy to local fields and they came back drenched, so think we made the right decision. Shame as was really looking forward to it. Let's hope the weather is better for 12th at Elvaston. See you there.

Lightweights! It was a surprisingly good turnout (10 humans, 12 hounds) though it has to be said that we didn’t linger long at the summit this time! We missed everyone who couldn’t make it and look forward to catching up at Elvaston Castle on 12th January.
