I really wanted to come on this walk, as it's one of my favourites, but it's so hot out there. Whistler is suffering with the heat, much more so than Ozzy does, and is puffing and panting after being outside for only a few minutes. He just wants to flake out in the cool house rather than be outside, me too! Hopefully we'll see you all at WL next Sunday morning if it's cooler. Hope you all have a nice walk today. ;D

Sol says he's going, so I suppose we're going Heat doesn't seem to bother him - it does me though, so we'll be staying in the shade!

Slow and sedate ......and we all made it in one piece Lots of water and the only moment of panic was when we realised the ice-cream van had gone by the time we got back to the car park. Lots of smug folks bought theirs when we were resting at the 'summit'. Lesson learnt ;D

Glad you had a good walk, even if no ice cream to end on. Did Katymay make it? Good to meet you today, any broke dogs today? Alison??? ;D

Another brilliant walk and I can't believe it's only a month since we got drenched at Coombe Abbey! The weather was very different today but ironically, the ice cream man had legged it by the time we got back to the car park. Maybe his mate from Coventry had warned him about us? Lesson learnt as Jasper's Dad says - remember to buy at the top when we're next in these parts! It was great to see familiar faces both hound and human and to welcome new friends. Thanks to everyone for a lovely afternoon and fantastic company. One of Jenny's pups commanding more attention than the dog whisperer! Skye and Jenny's Dad - bonded for life Mary with one of the bookend boys..... ....and both of them Charles, Patti and Sol Tracey and Norm with Frop and Hector's Dad looking on Two members of Mavis's pack Mrs Two Tuxedos with Frop, Hector and Lucy Kai, Helen and Rosie A cheesy grin from Phil with Buddy and Lola Jenny with Mum and younger pup taking in the view Rosie and Rosie ....... the only moment of panic was when we realised the ice-cream van had gone Panic? You got off lightly then! I had to flag a Mr Whippy van down on the way back to placate Sol Glad you had a good walk, even if no ice cream to end on. Did Katymay make it? Good to meet you today, any broke dogs today? Alison??? ;D Yep, Katy and Terror Fang made it. All dogs broke bar one I suspect (see quote above). I'm guessing that Cherry is too! Hope you had a nice time at Canine Capers

She won lots of food and treats, so she can stay another week. ;D

Brilliant day today - we really enjoyed it. Great to see most of the usual crowd and to meet some new faces - hounds and human. Troy said he'd do BeastBlog - but later 'coz he's just too cream crackered - in fact no-one has moved since we got in. Thank you to everyone that walked various Beasts today - it was very weird just walking two; but as I said to some, my goal now is to go on a White Lodge Walk and not walk any of The Beasts. Some more pics: Kai with Helen Sol looking chilled Caleb made it to the top first Mary with the "Bookend Boys" (I like that) and Jasper - but who's who? We love you A bunch of Rosies We did rather take over

Great pics. We all had a lovely time today and was great to meet new people. I'd arranged to meet my mum at the lower carpark but ended at the top one, so we missed some of the walk . I was suprised to see mum had aquired a dog (beastly beast's Lucy) when we caught up. The boys seemed to cope fine with the heat and there was a nice breeze at the summit to go with the great view, although they did do less walking than everyone else

What wonderful pictures!!
We're so sorry we missed out on this and we are already looking forward to Beacon Hill for next year as well as Rutland Water and the rest for this year.
Wonderful to see Norman Many Mates looking so happy with his human, Tracey. I would NOT be so unladylike as to suggest a strong candidate for "Dog who looks like their Owner" category in the virtual dog show, but did you ever SEE lovelier smiles from dog and lady?
