I had SO much fun today, and Quinn loved hanging out with all the other woofies and getting lots of cuddles. Can't wait for the next one, hopefully I won't be so hoarse!

Firstly i want to say a big big THANK YOU to everyone that came to help and support at todays first meet and greet. All week my biggest concern had been the weather but thankfully the weather god was very kind to us.The car park was full all day which meant lots of customers. All of the dogs were excellently behaved, taking it all in their stride as though they had been doing it for a long time,we were all very proud of them. Rescues Suki,Foxy and Misty were there and i can safely say Suki stole the show,i think we could of rehomed her 20+ times today but there was also interest in Foxy and Misty. We had a lot of enquiries and hopefully they will turn in to some happy rehomings. Gill has informed me that we collected £93.15 which is wonderful. WELL DONE EVERYONE

I had a brilliant time, just sorry I culdn't have been there longer. Mortimer loved all of his attention and it was really nice meeting new people and talking about my favourite subject with them - GREYHOUNDS! ;D C'mon Andy. You know Foxy or Misty are just dying to be part of your family It was really nice to meet Dawn and Jasper, after hearing so much about them.

I really enjoyed yesterday- as Sarah said, my favourite bit was talking to so many uninitiated people about how wonderful GH's are! We had lots of interest about not just re homing but also volunteer dog walking - guess we have to wait and see how many people actually turn up or make inquiries before we know just how successful we were.......... I am so chuffed we made some money also - not bad for our first outing! Thanks lots for organising it Trace - it was a cracking idea. (Just one note for myself to remember - take some suncream next time!!! I got home and was horrified when i looked in the mirror to see how lobster-like I am !!! It hasn't faded today and i am now panicking about my strange tan marks! Especially when i have a wedding to go to next weekend - and the weekend after!) All in all, a very successful day i think - Dizzy completely crashed last night, all the attention must have worn her out! Well done Whitelodgers!!! Jen and Diz PS - Linda - are you still alive???!!!

Yes, I too enjoyed the day especially as the weather was warm and dry, and we had loads of interest and enquiries. Great that we made nearly £100 too. Perhaps next time, we'll make more sales of RGT stuff if we put the items at the front of the RGT gazebo. Whistler and Ozzy were pooped when they got home and were crashed out most of the evening. Back to normal today, and have spent the morning pigging out on a raw bone each from the butchers. Jen, I too got sun burnt on the tops of my shoulders and back of my neck, and am still as pink as ever today as well. Thank goodness Kate was sensible and brought suncream which I put on my face, otherwise I would've been scarily burnt there too . Just goes to show how strong the sun was, and how stupid are we! Note to self: 'remember suncream and a hat next time'.

I burnt ALL over, and I had to work today. Loads of foundation to cover my lobster-ism. I'm so glad we raised so much money.

Swings and roundabouts for me - I didn't get sunburnt but my hound was not at all tired We went *shopping afterwards then for a 3 mile walk! *Jessops camera shop in Leicester is extremely dog-friendly and I can recommend it. My first trip there and they couldn't have been more welcoming to Sol. Look out for a couple of new White Lodge recruits here!
