I won't be there - I'm contagious and trying to avoid starting an epidemic, don't know if the boys will be there or not.

Melton Country Park - and it didn't rain! I think this is a first ;D It was a bit chilly though so my hands were too cold to get many pics. Tracie with Sol, Lester & Jess with Richard & Jasper and Phil, Lola and Buddy bringing up the rear It was great to see Loz, Nick, Tom & Alice again ;D Mince pies and a cuppa in the car park afterwards - much appreciated, thanks Linda & Tracie Handsome boy Lester Suggsy's definitely getting into the Christmas spirit! A selection of Beasts with Lord Jasper in the foreground Tracie is making tassels to raise funds for Hounds Helping Hounds. Here's Sol modelling his with help from Dave. Aren't they swish? Very professionally made too.

Great photos as ever Alison, you missed your calling.I really enjoyed the walk and so did Suggs ,he was very sociable with the other dogs and approached Tracy and Alison for fuss, still a bit nervous with the men but certainly improving. It was lovely to see everyone.I was leaned on by Troy ....bliss. Met Gill for the first time what a nice lady, her, Chris and myself were amazed how alike Monty and Suggs are in appearance and character, even down to kleptomania and playing late at night,I have to say I have a real soft spot for Monty.Lovely mince pies Tracy, Lester has certainly landed on his feet what a well behaved boy.Hope to see you all in the new year, have a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Great to see everyone this afternoon. As Alison said - the weather was kind (I think that's the second out of four walks at MCP that have been OK). Alison - great pics as always. I'll put some up in a bit. Linda - thank you for the coffee; very much appreciated. And though Suggs didn't come for a fuss he did at least have a sniff at the liver cake (Recipe is here if anyone wants it). Is he like Monty or what - both to look at, his behaviour, and, by the sounds of things, what he gets up to? Tracy - I really wish I liked mince pies - they looked so tasty. The tassels look great on The Beasts. And thank you for your very kind donation - I've transferred the money to The Beastly Beasts bank account. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and that Santa brings you what you wish for, and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

Great photos as ever Alison, you missed your calling. I thought you said my vocation lay in writing books! I'd settle for being either a passable photographer or a passable writer to be honest - anything that pays well would be nice then I could buy a big house with rolling acres of securely fenced land and set up a longdog rescue...... I'll keep dreaming. I was really chuffed when Suggs came to me for fuss, bless him

Always more walks to be taken!! Considering that was the best weather for a Melton walk.......ouch. To be fair though, the Melton Show day was fantastic and the dogs probably ate as much ice-cream as the humans at that event! Liver cake and assorted other goodies seemed to keep their attention today ;D I agree with: great mince pies and coffee and leather tassles and photos and company (both canine and human!) Merry Christmas to all (Is there not a Santa Smiley??)
