Thought about Outwoods, but there's a 15m stretch (no way around) that will be 'welly' depth mud ..... come to think of it, there's a couple more bits like that too! Ah the joys of summer.

Not going to attempt watermead tomorrow then, will just take Suggs along a road/track we know in Barkby which is very quiet and good for an on lead walk. Will check on this thread for Sundays plan of action.Apparantly there's a good chance the weather is going to be ok for the weekend if you believe central weather !

Wise decision,2 of the corners down there are really deep,me and jess were down there tuesday and in 1 of the parts where its flooded 4 large carp had swam out of the lake and were swimming around in the grass that runs alongside the footpath.Hopefully bump into you down there at some point and say hello.

A few snaps from the July Walk at Beacon Hill. Blue skies and lots of happy dogs and people Hands up all those who are now completely shattered (or is it just me and Sol?) Thanks everyone for a really enjoyable afternoon. A proud Suggs showing off his new family Setting off Dog Rescue Lover with Annie, Morty and Ruby (Perry Barr) Joey with his dad and the youngest of his pups Daisy with her mum and friend at the summit Jasper and Mary Lou & Co Although I didn’t manage to capture any but this one blurry photo of them together in the same shot, “Good Citizen” (Silver Award) Buddy, Lou Dog and Sol enjoyed a fantastic off-lead playing session in the woods. Streams………… ………..and bogs featured in the fun And fortunately, so did rolling around and romping in the long grass afterwards to clean off the worst of the mud! ;D

Alison, your photos are great, looks like you all had a great walk ;D. Shame Ozzy and I missed it, but we were busy doing family stuff (gran's birthday BBQ). Hopefully we'll make the next one though!

'twas a rather pleasant afternoon. Good to see Suggs out and about for the first time and pleased to know you all got back safely as we left before you reached the car park. Now I know you were having waaaaaay toooooo much fun in the woods, I don't feel quite so rude /guilty . Nice pics - where is the one of you and Sol? ?? Nice to see one and all - roll on summer ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Really enjoyed the walk,Suggs had a great time he really came out of his shell. Thanks to all for making us so welcome. One problem which fiendish person swapped my timid ,scardy cat dog who wouldn't get off his bed ,for a table surfing cheeky boy,who was so tired by the way we had to have a few words about going outside before bed time. The boy wasn't moving.Great pics of everyone Alison, and I'm absolutly cream crackered.too

Someone in the great dog-walk-land-in-the-sky is working against me. There we were all set up to come on the walk, even asked Daisy's old mum's family to come along and catch up - and guess what happens? My sister-in-law only goes and gives birth to my extra cute, gorgeous new nephew Harry George. So while I was PLANNING on coming to the walk, I had to hotfoot it to Stoke Mandeville hospital for lots of wrinkly red-baby cuddles. I told him all about greyhounds though and he can't wait to meet his cousins Joanie, Dixie and Daisy. I may even get his mum and dad to bring him on the August walk. IF I make it, because the last four months haven't been particulary successful.
