The next White Lodge Walk will take place this forthcoming Sunday, 11th March, at Beacon Hill. We’ll meet in the lower car park and set off from there at 2pm. Click on the links below for further details and directions: www.leics.gov.uk/index/environment/countryside/countryparks/beacon.htmen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beacon_Hill,_Leicestershire The full address for the lower car park: Breakback Lane Woodhouse Eaves Loughborough Leics LE12 8TA The charge for car parking is £1.50, payable at the ticket machine on entry. Having the correct change will save you no end of hassle. Toilet facilities for humans are adjacent to the lower car park, poo bins for hounds spaced at reasonable intervals along the route. We usually walk the route shown in the following link, arriving at the summit (adjacent to the upper car park) at approx.14:40h and pausing for a 15 minute break to take in the view/give the dogs a drink/take photos etc. Often people who’re either unable or don’t want to do the full walk like to meet us at this point. Ideal for those with babies, elderly relatives or wheelchair-using friends who’d like to join in for a shorter period. www.leics.gov.uk/beacon_hill_map-2.jpgEveryone welcome, as always, and it would be great to see you Alison x

The Cruft's brigade missed out on a glorious spring day on the Beacon. Not a cow in sight either so there was no hinderance for those well behaved off leashers! ;D - No tasty snacks on the ground either More pups and smaller dogs than I've seen for ages - All looking good. Sadly the ice-cream man did a runner before we got back to the car park - He obviously remembers the last time ;D ;D Roll on Summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
