The next White Lodge Walk will take place on Sunday 13th November at Bagworth Heath Common, setting off from the car park at 2pm. The link below should provide further info and directions: www.goleicestershire.com/groups/thedms.asp?dms=13&GroupId=9&venue=2501499Car parking is free and there are plenty of spaces. No cafe or ice cream van though so be sure to pack cake and a flask! Very much looking forward to catching up with everyone and welcoming new friends, as always

Aces, love Bagworth although prefer it when someone who knows their way (sarah dogrescue!) comes too as last time we had to wing it lol. Just a reminder that at this time of year they do close the carpark at 4, think Alison & I got caught chatting once & nearly found ourselves locked in for the duration! See you later everyone!

Had a lovely walk , met the two newbies , the very handsome Curtis who has more clothes than me by the sound of it and the very pretty , sweetie that is Pearl, gorgeous girl, my favourite sort of Greyhound, a Black female , love her. Flynn had a mad off lead dash with Harry who out ran him for two laps of the big field. They were both stars and came back no problem and ran together beautifully. Thanks Jen and Hazza ,Flynn loved it.Benson can't manage that length of walk yet and is still at the stage of ragging his lead now and then, sitting down and getting tangled around everyone and their dog.So my youngest son and his girlfriend took him to Bradgate Park where he made lots of doggy friends including one who let him share his dinner and a six month old Bull dog boy who they said was huge .Him and Benson were covering each other with sloppy kisses. ;D All five fed and asleep and so is Dave. ;D ;D

Lovely walk today, i do like Bagworth, where else could you find that would be so quiet on a warm sunny Sunday . Was really nice to see everyone again, it is difficult to talk to everyone as we all walk at such different paces and today especially we all went in random directions lol, but still nice to see our hounds appearing over various hills and fields from all directions)! Really nice to have Harry and Flynn running together, two playful lurchers in their element ;D (i only wish i could post the video but have it on my phone so i dont know how to transfer it .). Was also pleased with Dizzy as despite shots ringing in the background she was relatively chilled out and didnt make a run for the nearest ditch as she has in the past We wont be at the December walk as Harry and Bradgate Park don't mix so well (wide open spaces, deer, hundreds of dogs, rangers with firearms, its a saluki x's dream and nightmare for his owner!) but will see you all soon! Thanks for lovely walk today

Roger , Millie and I had a great time today Always good to meet up with everyone on our monthly walks As Jen said it was difficult today to talk to everyone as we got spread out but still great to see all those lovely hounds enjoying the fresh air . Millie & Roger are now snoozing on the sofa - it's a hard life ;D

Both J&L were a long time waking up this morning Good to be out walking with you all again. The grass was good for her ladyship to walk on. Jasper is just happy to be out anywhere!! I just picked a nice fat tick off the sofa when I came in tonight and will give a good inspect of the 'hiding places' when the dogs have settled down tonight with their legs in the air First one I've seen in a long time - you may want to do a quick inspect of pads and armpits (legpits doesn't sound right ) just in case! We really enjoyed the day and will try harder to make Bradgate in December - a favourite walk for our two

Mike, Zebedee, and I thoroughly enjoyed our walk at Bagworth Heath. Lovely friendly guys and gals and super hounds and others. This was only our third walk so lots of different faces human and canine. Good to see Medalion Man and Linda again. Having trouble with remembering names, but these two made an impression on me as I think I did on them as I seem to be now known as 'the woman who falls of benches' - And that was without the whisky apperitif ! For my next trick ... Very best wishes to the three-legged wonder, and the greyhound who gets cut on wine !!! Hope to make Bradgate. I find these walks completely and utterly uplifting. Penny O'C
