A number of people on the October Walk expressed interest in another Salcey Forest one to see the autumn leaves doing their spectacular stuff. Chris, Gill and The Beastly Beasts have kindly organized an extra walk there for Sunday 6th November, usual start time 2pm from the café car park.
Everyone welcome, as always!

Salcey is in its full Autumn glory at the moment with red, gold, and copper leaved trees.
If you come along on the 6th (and hope you do) bring a few squids with you as there will be some houndy Christmas cards on sale from Greyhound Friends.

A word to the wise…..no harm in thinking ahead! Do bring human and hound santa hats/outfits/Christmas costumes/tinsel leads or whatever along. Not yet the festive season but the photos will make great Christmas cards with the fabulous trees of Salcey Forest as a background. Sol and Shadow will be sporting something appropriate (I shudder to imagine - their halloween outfits will haunt my dreams forever ) An opportunity not to be missed!

Is there a 'short' walk option? I really, really want to come but can't leave Morty at home. His leg is all fine and mended now but because he compensated for it (and we had to take him off his anti-inflamatories early), hes now got issues with his back and is still on restricted walks. He can manage a 1/2 hour quick walk, or 3/4 hour at a slow and steady pace.
Really hope so, as I'm really looking forward to this one x ;D

We will be coming along today with Joe and Katie- for her first walk as a tripod ;-) I don't think we'll manage the whole route but will have a wander and it will be great for her to see some hound ... Looking forward to it x

Really, really sorry not to have made this (again!!). It looks as though it is a beautiful afternoon and would have been lovely to catch up with people (old and new!). Unfortunately Morty is stiff with his back again, so I didn't want to risk it and have taken him for a very short slow walk today (couldn't have left him, bless him). Hope you had a wonderful time and can't wait to see the photos (especially yours Alison, with the leaves as the backdrop to some festive looking hounds!!)
