Had a great time at the show today, really nice to see everyone and to see us get some interest in the dogs and the stall - a different feel to last year in that seemed to be less people, finished earlier but had more visitors to the stall and sold more items (all good for the rescue!). Well done to all the dogs who entered the classes, we had some great results, including well deserved 3rd places for Millie and Roger, and a multitude of awards for our very own Jess incl a 1st in Prettiest Bitch over 21inches ;D. As for my own motley crew, i didnt enter Diz as she is not a fan of judges and tends to reverse behind me at the sight of a stranger aproaching but she had a great time mooching round and saying hello to her houndy friends, and Harry managed a 1st in Fastest Recall without Jumps, was quite chuffed as lots of houndies gave it a go . More importantly he had very few grumbles today, really good considering it was mighty hot and not very exciting for him! Was lovely to meet the beautiful Ellie, Jet and Moz who were looking for their forever sofas today (a lovely black trio who all took it in their stride despite the heat and the number of lunch sized mutts who wandered into camp ) and the lovely blue and white Queenie, also up for re-homing and setting a few hearts a flutter methinks. Took some pics.... The very smiley laid back Jet Look at those handsome long legs, someone will be very lucky to re-home this boy The lovely Ellie - more energetic and lively, so deserves a chance at being re-homed after being in kennels for a long time With Diz (sorry Linda!!!) The Whitelodge stall, hard work done by Trace and Gill Beautiful Jess Ice cream time! Gareth and his glamorous assistant Amy (who proved a diamond when it came to helping with the dogs) drew a good hound crowd of Harry, Diz and Roger! Harry, Diz and Roger and Millie's bums!! Roger, Millie, Gareth and Amy Brenda, Caleb, Poppy, Millie, Gareth and Amy Harry with his 1st rosette for recall Its hard work all this show malarkey All in all a good day! Jen

It was a great day, met up with all our friends (2 and 4 legged ;D ) was great to see all the hounds in the judging enclosures and a big well done to those who came away with well deserved rosettes - especially Jess with her 1st place ;D and Harry for his speedy recall ( there was a few worring moments when Jen spotted fast looking Greys taking part but none of them could match his time ;D ) , I'm chuffed to bits with Millie & Roger's 3rd places. All the dogs were so well behaved and despite the heat they all seemed to enjoy the day. A big thank you to Amy for helping out today - she told me how much she enjoyed meeting everyone and being surrounded by all the happy hounds.

Awww jen some things happened to your pics where they gone? Any way I really enjoyed the day.The two WL newbies Moz and Queenie that Jill brought with her are lovely.Queenie had a little wander round and then went back to chill in the van as it was all a bit bewildering for her.She is a lovely girl and so very pretty. Moz started the day being very interested in everything , especially snack sized dogs ;D but amazing boy that he is after a couple of hours was just taking everything in his stride and pretty much ignoring them and just relaxing. He would have loved a go at fastest re-call though.Considering these dogs have only been with Jill since Tuesday I think they were fantastic. As for Jet and Ellie I've posted in their re-homing threads as has Jen. Jet is just perfect, I'd say ready made for a home, love him. But Ellie stole my heart, a lively girl, who was determined to use me as a lever to get her muzzle off, I t was her first time at an event like this and I think she did really well. She might need a bit more work than say Jet , but I think once she's in a home with all it's comforts she'll soon chill out and be a smashing companion,.Well done to all the Wl contingents dogs who did so well yet again, and I hope we've raised some money and awareness.
