The last couple of years we have had an extra walk at Beacon Hill on New Years Day,soooo anyone fancy blowing away the cob webs this year would be very welcome. We meet at 1pm (an hour earlier than usual) in the lower car park.Directions will be in the previous Beacon Hill walk thread , unless Alison would be kind enough to post them here.Look forward to seeing you all.
Your wish is my command Linda, and thanks for organising this!
Click on the links below for further details and directions:

The full address for the lower car park:
Breakback Lane
Woodhouse Eaves
Loughborough
Leics
LE12 8TA
The charge for car parking is £1.50, payable at the ticket machine on entry. Having the correct change will save you (and the cars behind you!) no end of hassle.
Toilet facilities, allegedly, although I've never managed to find them.
No cafe and I doubt that Mr Whippy will be in attendance at this time of year so feel free to bring mince pies and sossidge rolls!
We usually walk the route shown in the following link, arriving at the summit (adjacent to the upper car park) approximately 30 mins after setting off and pausing for a 15 minute break to take in the view/give the dogs a drink etc. Often people who’re either unable or don’t want to do the full walk like to meet us at this point. Ideal for those with tiny babies, elderly relatives or wheelchair-using friends who’d like to join in for a shorter period.
