The next White Lodge Walk will take place at Swithland Woods on Sunday 11th July 2010. We’ll meet in the SOUTH car park and set off from there at 2pm. Click here for directions. The nearest postcode for those with satnav is LE7 7HQ, just off Roecliffe Road. A link below to the last Swithland Woods Walk – let’s hope that the weather is a little warmer this time! wlld.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=events&action=display&thread=950&page=1

Those who can’t make it will be very much missed For people who might be concerned by the weekend “heatwave” forecast, worry not – Swithland Woods affords so much cool shade that even in this weather I will be wearing a sweater on Sunday and suggest that you do the same Rain or shine, winter or summer, this place seems to remain at a constant (chilly) temperature. Why is Swithland Woods always so cold?

Just got in from the Rempstone Steam Fair where we entered Fletcher (Slippy) in 2 dog show categories to which the judge didn't even GLANCE at him *is not a pushy mother* and now reaslised we've missed this as a result! Chose the wrong event Maybe see you next time, it's probably too warm for Penny anyway, she'd end up passed out like the time she got heatstroke at Bradgate Park last summer

The Judge obviously has no taste what so ever. Fletcher is a stunning Hound. Why don't you enter him in our Online show he's bound to do well. Also the Hathern dog show where WL are having a stall (August 22nd) is very Hound/Lurcher friendly and we came home with several rosettes.
