Looks like a great time was had by all, sorry we missed it. Hopefully next year ....... We had a fab day at the 'Bird of Prey' experience though - never been up so close to Birds of Prey, really interesting and enjoyable. You and yours were much missed Brenda, never quite the same without the naughty but very nice Poppy running the show ;D

One for you, Alison, you always take and put up such lovely pix: Alison needs to eat more pies – and get a face transplant! How daft/skinny/ugly does she look? My Dad is no better. I am the only photogenic soul in this household but the standard is very low Your photos are much better than hers lol

Ginga I'm shocked, how rude. :oYour Mum has a figure I wish I had , and looks very nice, haven't seen your Dad yet, about time we did.We all know you are very handsome but really what's got into you, you need to go to your bed and think about what you've said, and no treats for you tonight. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ginga I'm shocked, how rude. You’re right Linda, he’s a cheeky monkey! Mind you, he might have a point – everyone’s pics are fab and far better than my own efforts. I’d still much rather be behind the camera than in front of it though A massive THANK YOU to everybody who came along and made the day such a success: I was proud to be associated with such a lovely bunch of well behaved people and hounds. Nothing but praise from everyone in the village, offers from other landowners have flooded in plus requests that we make it an annual event! ;D It’ll embarrass them I know but I really must make some special mentions: Karen and Martin worked incredibly hard to ensure that things ran smoothly, everything from putting the balloons out to taking a bin liner full of dog poo home! Big thanks also due for organising the raffle and providing the wonderful dog muffins (or should that me muttfins? ) Trace camped over which meant that things could be set up the evening before – a huge weight off my shoulders! The handmade rosettes, blagging of prizes, collaborating with Karen and Martin in the running of the raffle……you’re a star MC Jen (whose services were called upon at very short notice). She marshalled the troops magnificently – we’d still be there now had it been left to me to call the prize winners into the ring! I called in person to thank Gill for setting up the “show ring” and judging so impartially. Not much point in thanking her here as she probably won’t touch a computer keyboard until Christmas - that is to say Christmas 2011! Lol John and Hilary (owners of the picnic field) and Peter and Angela (the people who allowed use of their paddock for off-lead romps) have received RGT “thank you” cards on behalf of all of us. They’re delighted that the picnic was a success and welcome us back any time ;D Loads more pics available upon request, this is just a small random selection: Kay and Rover’s Pup Alistair took some great photos I guess this one might have cracked his lens White Lodge/Leics RGT’s nominee for Best Retired Greyhound at the GGG Wishing you the best of luck Miss Dizzy Giggles! Reunited – littermates Queenie and Earlybird Dog muffins c/o Karen’s Kakes…..…..and big “thumbs up” from Evie Julia and Molly, the first winners of The Best Veteran shield Our youngest volunteer, lil’ Emily pictured with Seanie who thoroughly enjoyed his day out. Beastly Beast Libbie enjoying a romp through the aftermath (not sure whether it’s the correct term but that’s how the farmers hereabouts refer to a harvested cereal crop field before the straw is baled and the pasture ploughed)Birthday Girl Lucy with young Alistair. Both dogs in shot are looking to the right because they’ve clocked the Witch of Grimston’s cat lurking in her garden! Katymay, Skye and Seanie surveying the view over Leicestershire on the late afternoon walk. Billesdon Coplow is left of pic.Lovely to see so many familiar faces and welcome new friends. All who weren’t able to make it were very much missed; maybe you’ll be able to join us next time Alison xx
