Would someone please put details of Sunday's Walk on, I, for one, have no idea where it is and some of the new members might not know either. Many thanks Eileen

I second that, when I put it into google maps it came back with Burroughs Road, Ratby although on the satellite view it looks like there is a carpark there, is that the one?

Hi folks! If you click on the link below, the first 3 or 4 posts give directions which I found very helpful: wlld.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=events&action=display&thread=685Just a reminder that we'll be setting off from the car park at 2pm - hopefully see everyone there p.s. when you click the link it takes you to the Ratby Burroughs thread from last year. The date of the forthcoming one (2009) is definitely 12th July!

We won't be there, we are taking the boys and Marina to the Rempstone show to get her some rehoming publicity.

We will be there, Jo. Tegan thought the Rempstone show was a different one with a craft section that I have entries in so we'll be at Ratby and will have Specks/Marina if there's no other spare dog for you!!
Hope Phil is doing better. Chat later.....

So sorry we didn't make it to today's walk. I am totally losing the plot and completely forgot that I had volunteered to help at the Ashby show. Sorry we missed everyone and hope you all had a great afternoon.

Lovely to meet everyone today on our first White Lodge walk. Queenie & Molly were so excited & loved walking with all the other pooches. Its great when you see so many all together enjoying themselves. Looking forward to the next one.

Really enjoyed the walk, and the turn out was excellent. This is one of my favourite walks as it's a decent length and free car parking. Just needs an ice cream van now! ;D

PICCIES!!!!! Loved this walk (somehow we missed it last year but we won't miss it again!!) Like a little hidden gem! Cannot believe how FEW other people we saw there and we were so lucky with the weather. The first open part of the walk with everyone nattering and catching up! That's Queenie and her new sister Molly and 'mum and dad' Julia and Stuart on the extreme right. Very good to see them. Bit further on.... I wish I'd taken my I-Spy book of Insects with me as there were certainly some interesting butterflies and some HUGE flies!! Must also remember the citronella next time too. Tegan, Quinn, Marie and Sam looking a little hot and bothered back in the car park. A very handsome couple!! And our very handsome man, Quinn. As a small side note, anyone who knew Sam and Quinn when they were in kennels will know that they were somewhat exuberant.... and they settled in a calm home with loving owners in no time at all. Specks/Marina was beautifully behaved with so many other dogs around including some littlies and is really a lovely dog apart from incurable kleptomania! She'll steal anything to take back to her bed with shoes a speciality. But she knows 'sit' and 'bed' and is very good almost all of the time. She does like being around other dogs and takes her cues from them rather than people and is fine being left for short periods (as long as you have hidden your shoes!) She would fit in very nicely with an existing dog or dogs. Marina crashed out in the car on the way home. I agree with Claire; the only thing missing was an ice cream van waiting for us back in the car park!! Does anyone have one of those cooler boxes that plugs in to the car cigarette lighter and keeps stuff frozen? Maybe we could organise our own ice cream supply......

I love this venue and we really enjoyed the walk. Suggs even had his tail up ;D Tia had to have a slight mishap though, on the narrow paths in the wood , on two occasions she had her nose so far up the dog in fronts bum she got weed on when he cocked his leg. ;D ;D Then just to make my day she rolled ( I've never known a dog roll so much) and got her girly pink collar dirty.
