I hope I don't add to your concerns Dave....
....but Linda and Tracey have been invited as exhibitors to the 'Exhibitors Drinks Party' tonight and there's also several hog raosts, parties with bands and beer tents going on after the public are thrown out.
And I'm not even going to GUESS at what Tracey's got in her mini-fridge.....
Somehow I think Linda will be okay..... but we still want to see the pictures!!!!!

CLA GAME FAIR at Belvoir Castle 2009Our stall at the fair and Tegan and Quinn talking to our first visitor of the day, one of the other exhibitors. As you can see, the day started off beautifully with clear blue skies. Unfortunately it didn't stay that way all day!!! Special extra point for you if you can see Tracey's Lester in the pic!!! Our view from the stall, opposite Dog's Trust. The beautiful collars sold very well!! Tegan and Nellie taking a break in the van. Wendy (the founder of Pet Blood Bank) will be joining us for most of the weekend and we did some walkabouts with her and some of the dogs to talk to owners about their dogs donating and to ask stalls if they would display leaflets for PBB. Everyone was very receptive and interested and we hope that it will bring many more donors in for PBB. Gill and Oak having some well-earned lunch. Oak playing the part of 'honorary greyhound' of course!! You can see the collars a little more clearly here. If you are after a new collar for your hound, do have a look at these first. They are quite lovely with some on a butter-soft leather base and some on the more traditional webbing with fabric. Some have matching leads and they are very good prices. I am not sure who will be holding the stock after the show, Gill or Tracey, but I will update when I do. As that finishing touch, how about one of Tracey's eye-catching tassels? At one point there were 10 dogs in and around our stall all behaving beautifully. Marina was fantastic and quite unphased by the HUNDREDS of dogs at the show in all shapes and sizes, the people and children hugging and petting her and the almost constant noises of clay pigeon shooting, helicopters and the tannoy. She really was a star and fingers crossed has a wonderful family very interested in her. Late afternoon, having dodged a few heavy showers, been petted and hugged to near-exhaustion, the Quinn Towers crew take a nap!! If you are going to the Fair tomorrow I would suggest a) you get there EARLY!!! b) You wear your most supportive walking shoes. This is NOT a fashion parade unless Dubarrys and waxed jackets are the height of fashion these days!! c) Take LOTS of money. There are so MANY gorgeous stalls to browse through and lovely things to buy as well as the hog roasts.... beer tents.... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm hog roast...... Tracey and Rosie are heroes, staying there all weekend for WL and the RGT although I was pleased to see that the 'ahem' bathroom facilties are not as primitive as I had feared and put many train stations and motorway stops to shame. Many people including Marie, Linda and James will be adding their support over the weekend and I hope everyone else who goes to help has as much fun as we did.

James and I had a great time at the CLA Game Fair, but us and the dogs were shattered when we got home. I was asleep by 9 pm! Thanks to Gill for getting us tickets at such late notice. I've never seen Ozzy so hyped up as he was by the lure racing event. He was pulling and leaping up at the fencing and barking. He may be 9 ish years old but that wasn't going to stop him having a go. He certainly entertained the public! The final straight Nearly got you! He wouldn't let go of the lure at the end, until someone got it off him! He was still hyped up when we left, and was dragging me back to the lure enclosure for more! There's nothing stopping him, having caught another rabbit this morning in the fields behind our house. That's the second one in the last 4 days. Unfortunately there is an outbreak of myxomatosis in the huge population of rabbits near us, and this one had conjunctivitis with a runny discharge so was better off put out of it's misery. Still very upsetting to see a rabbit with this disease though.

WTG Ozzy, he's a live wire I am still shattered after a night under canvas.Trace and myself were up by 5.30 a.m. Sunday ready to set up the stall. ;D I had a great time and Dave enjoyed it too, hope to post some pics today or tomorrow. The man a few stalls down must have thought I was stalking him , I was at his stall any spare minute I had.Actually it was his whippetts I was in love with, a white 11 month old deaf girl, and a Blue 4 month old boy, absolutely gorgeous. We came home to a poorly Tia she'd been sick just as we walked in, we thought it was a one off but she's done it again today , and is sleeping curled up rather than stretched out, I am keeping an eye on her as apparently she'd chewed up a biro.If she's not better tomorrow it's off to our second home Chine House.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself on the Saturday (thanks Linda for keeping me company in the queing traffic!!) and I know Morty loved all the attention he got too! He was a star and wasn't fazed by anthing, bless him I really enjoyed meeting everyone that came along to the stand to say hello and fussing their dogs! Everyone was really friendly and it was a great atmosphere. Trace, I just wanted to say how brilliant you've been. This has taken a lot of effort and hard work on your behalf organising this event and also attending it for the 4/5 days, so well done you! (and to Jess and Lester of course!) LOL at Linda. I hope Lester was a good hot water bottle for you ;D Can't wait to hear how much we made!

Thanks for a lovely day on Sunday. We really enjoyed ourselves selling the collars, cuddly toys etc. and meeting the dogs and people. Thank you again Tracy for organising this, it was a huge undertaking especially being there for the whole event. I loved seeing so many breeds of dog and Sophia and I fell in love with some miniature Pinschers (Like mini dobermans with tails)!! plus loads of hairy lurchers. Was hoping to go again next year but Tracy said its not at Belvoir again for a few years.
